So, another update to my journal. I've been wanting to update my journal for a few months now because I know Dorothy really likes it and plus I find it kinda cool. So, here it is.
Well, since my last update not much has changed. I went out to eat with Dorothy and her parents to Avoyelles Cafe downtown. We get there and the place is closed; apprently there is a cafe that is open just for breakfast and lunch and there is also an upstairs that is open for dinner. So we go upstairs and the place is completely deserted. The lights were on and the tables were prepared, but there were no customers or employees. We walked around for about 5 minutes before someone saw us and took us to a table. The menu did not have a very good selection, but the choices seemed good. When we got the food, however, it was definately contradictory. The food looked homecooked and was not as "luscious" as the menu sounded. At least Dorothy's parents had gift certificates so it wasn't a total waste.
After dinner we went back to her parents house and we played some board games. I always want to play Scrabble, but I can never find another opponent. Apparently everyone is too frightened to challenge me in Scrabble because I have such a broad and refined vocabulary.... I'm like a walking dictionary. Either that, or everyone thinks Scrabble is a boring game, but I'd rather think the former. So, we played Password. Now Password is a pretty fun game. Dorothy and I were on a team against her parents. If Dorothy would have known the clue I gave her to tweezers, we would have won (although she could say the same about the clue she gave to me too, hahaha). We next played Finish Lines and it was me and her dad against her and her mom. They won, so I had not won any games yet. For the last game of Cranium, I decided to pair with Dorothy's mom because I never play with her.... and we actually won. So evidently she must be the missing piece for board game glory, since she won every game that night.
Today was rather relaxing as well. I woke up late, around 1:30 or so, and Dorothy and I went to Great Wall for a late lunch. She eventually went to Charlie's Coffee to study and I met my friends at the mall. After a huge ordeal of getting Dorothy's sunglasses to bring ot Sunglass Hut and attempting to find a parking space, I spent 10 mins at the mall and then went to Ricardo's to hang out. I played Hota Pe in some Wii games and played with Ricardo's Chihuahua mix, Tipsy. Eventually I met Dorothy and Charlie's and went to her parents for a bbq rib dinner.
As for this week, it should be pretty easy for me. This will be my last real spring break before law school (hopefully) and the real world, so I plan to enjoy it while it lasts. I'm going to work at the clinic everyday this week and run a few times before the CCC on Saturday. I also need to bird watch for a few hours for extra credit this week, so that should be fun. Hopefully I see some cool birds, like makybe some vireos and warblers. I saw a downy woodpecker on Saturday which, if you don't know, is the smallest woodpecker species with a completely white belly and chest, black head and white stripes and black back with white spots. It's pretty neat looking.
Right now I'm sitting across from Dorothy, who is studying for her law classes. I really do admire her. Even though she doesn't work as hard as others, she is a brilliant and ambitious scholar. She's interested in tax/ corporate law and wants to get her L.L.M. (master's) in tax law after she graduates from law school. That means she'll need to go out of state for a year to get that degree, and I believe the closest place offering that LLM is Houston. So, we could spend a year apart from one another and have very limited times when we can meet so that will be difficult, at least for her [ just teasing ; ) ]. But that's at least a year away from now.
I'm also proud of Dorothy because of the weight she has lost. She was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian cyst syndrome, which is a condition that can lead to a multitude of problems, like diabetes. So her endocrinologist recommended the South Beach diet so she can learn how to maintain an appropriate diet and reduce the amount of sugars that she consumes daily. I started the diet with her so it would be easier for her and plus I could afford to have lost a few pounds. Well, since beginning the diet on Ash Wednesday, she's lost about 14-15 lbs and you can definately tell. By no means was she fat before, but she looks great. She's starting to fit in some of her old clothes again, which I know she is very happy about. In fact, she needs to get most of her recent clothes altered so they fit her trimmer physique. But it's weird, even though she lost weight, there are still some places that haven't lost their shape yet, which is good for me.....
Anyway, I love Dorothy and she is a great girl. I'm looking forward to travelling to New York with her for my graduation gift; I just hope she doesn't make me go broke spending too much money on food!
Alright, well that's enough for tonight. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day at the clinic and hopefully I'll have a nice gain in my portfolio tomorrow so I can have a good chance at winning the portfolio challenge.
Good night.

Well, here it is. Last time I updated this thing I was dating Dorothy, attending LSU and thinking about becoming a doctor. Well, a few years later, I'm still dating Dorothy, will be graduating from LSU in May and will probably be attending law school somwhere in the fall. So, things aren't too different.
Anyway, things are pretty good. Last night Dorothy had our first date in a while. It wasn't extravagant or anything, but it was nice. I cooked baked salmon, zucchini, squash, a salad, and my favorite, the smoked mozzarella and sun-drid tomato cigars. Everything tasted great and looked pretty nice too. SInce adjusting to the South Beach Diet, I really enjoy cooking more, and would like to do it more whenever I get the chance. After dinner I cleaned all the dishes and put away the leftovers. Dorothy and I watched some of her Six Feet Under dvds, and then we saw Blades of Glory. Let me tell you, I love Will Ferrel movies and that is an amazing movie. It was freaking hilarious! I would definately see it again.
Last night before I went to bed I walked Lucy. She took off like lightning and and before I knew it, she had an armadillo cornerned against the wall. She sat there barking at the ardmadillo.... I've definately never seen Lucy act like that before, so it was rather refreshing. Anyway, I told the little pug I was proud of her courage, haha.
This morning I ran the big lake at LSU and completed my all time fastest time for 4.1 miles: 34 minutes 36 seconds. I ran it on Thursday and my time was 36 minutes 20 seconds, so it was a pretty big improvement. I have yet to run 10k for the CCC next Saturday, but I'll probably run 10k twice this week.
Well, the rest of the day was pretty boring, just looking at birds and playing with Lucy. Right now I'm waiting for Dorothy to return from Sarah's bridal shower, so we can eat with her parents and figure out what we're doing later. I know Hota Pe is in BR this weekend and I'd like to see him, so hopefully I can do that tonight or tomorrow.
I'm really looking forward to graduating and going on my two vacations with my sweetie....
SO, that's enough ramblings for now and hopefulyl I'll continue updating this thing more often! |

To Dorothy,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that I love you. Thanks for being there for me through the good times and the not-so-good times. You're my little Jimminy Cricket that guides me along the right track to make me realize what I need to do. You give me inspiration and hope and I thank you for that. I love you with all of my heart and remember that you're still my lil Angel, Pocahontas, and Miss Muffet. And just remember, "Love is Patient, Love is Kind...... Love Never Fails." That's the motto to our relationship. I had fun at Fleming's tonight and I have a feeling we're going to be eating there a few times a month (well maybe not a few times, but at least once). Yeah, so I'm excited about sharing this Holiday Season with you and I love you a lot. See you soon and may God bless you. Alrighty folks
Well tomorrow I start summer classes at UNO, taking biology, physics and a physics lab. I decided to definately take the pre-med route so I need to hurry up and fulfill the reqs so I can take the MCAT. Anyway, that shoud be interesting. Also, I've been trying for weeks to get some kind of job in a medical setting. I applied to LSU HSC, East Jeff and Memorial Med Center, and to some kind of med receptionist job. Anyway tomorrow im going to East Jeff to follow up my app with my new resume. Dorothy helped me create my resume and I got to say its pretty kick ass (at least the format anyway). So thats what I've been up to. This weekend I'm going to BR to babysit some kid for the Marinello wedding (ooh that should be a blast, the babysitting part that is) and to hang out with Dorothy. I only get t osee her once a week in the summer so it kind of sucks (except that we hung out in FL for a good 5 days). Yeah so thats whats going on. Just enjoying snowballs down in the Big Easy and takin it easy enjoying the nothingness of summer. Alright, well I guess thats it for now. Who knows maybe I'll update every day from now on.

Saturday
We woke up around 11:00 and had some lovely croissants and played with lil Brent. Afterwards, we got ready and went to the public beach area by the Boardwalk in Okaloosa Island. We found a spot on the beach and layed there for a good hour. The weather was extremely nice, but it was so windy we couldn't stay out there for long. We decided to go in the gulf and test out the waters but that was freezing too! Hopefully next time when we go down in May it will be a little warmer. Anyway, we decided to venture into the Gulfarium for a bit. That was fun, it's like a really slimmed-down version of Sea World. We saw a sea lions show, a dolphin show where we got wet, and a living seas show. The living seas show looked like it was created in the 50's because it was kinda corny and very informational. I felt like I was at a SCUBA seminar. Anyway, we left there around 5:30ish or so and went back to my aunt's house. There while my uncle was barbecuing, we had some champagne and played with lil Brent more. He's a little crazy kid but I love him. He behaves really well too.... even though he will be two this Friday. Anyway, he really adores Dorothy and pretty much says anything and does anything she tells him to do. He likes me alot too, but not as much as Dorothy. Yeah, so later on we had some good barbecued ribs, hamburgers, and chicken and then I layed on the sofa and watched Duke lose in the final four. While Dorothy and Brent were playing, I decided to to jump over the sofa and land on the cushions. I kinda hurt myself when I did that, and lil Brent said "uh-oh!" and Dorothy said "no, it's more like big uh oh!" So after that everytime Dorothy would ask Brent who I was, he would say "uh-oh, big uh-oh" like "Bond, James bond." I htought that was really funny. Anyway, after Brent went to sleep, Dorothy and I went to get some Dippin Dots ice cream in Destin and then went to walk along the beach at night. We got out there and the sand was freezing cold. Imagine walking barefoot on ice and that's what it felt like. Anyway, we stayed out there for a few minutes and we decided to walk on a fishing pier out there by the gulf. We went on it and we felt like we were walking endlessly into the gulf. When we got all the way to the end, we looked back to the shore and it looked so far away. That was a crazy feeling. Anyway, we went back to the house and I gave Dorothy and body massage before we went to bed. Pleasant dreams.....
Ok, look for the final part of the trilogy soon.Current Mood: feelin good Current Music: William Hung - Rocket Man

» Weekend Trip to Florida
Yeah, so needless to say I have another interesting journal about a trip to Florida's Emeral Coast, Destin/ Ft. Walton Beach. It all started Friday Afternoon:
Friday
I met Dorothy at Fuji for some Japanese food since we would be eating seafood that night in Destin. Well, we got there at 11:45 but we didn't leave until almost 1:15 or so! The service was so slow! There was a group of about 10 or so people all with seperate checks and that took a shitload of time. Anyway, we got back to D's house and loaded up her car with all of our stuff for the weekend. We didn't leave until about 2, which was a lot later than I thought we were going to but it's ok. So we get on the road and we're off! A few hours later, we hit the FL rest area and take a pee break. Ah, only a few more hours left until my aunt's house. We then get all the way down to the Pensacola Bay Bridge and I fill up with some gas before the bridge.... it's very funny, the bridge has a warning sign that cautions of a "loing bridge, fuel up before" but in eality it's only about 2 or 3 miles. Haha. Anyway, the gas is expensive over there, I paid about $1.95 for premium, although in some places it was as high as $2.01! So we finally get to my aunt's house in Ft. Walton Beach by about 7 or so. We tell my family hello and lil Brent and then we change our clothes and go to the Old Bay Steamer in Ft. Walton Beach. We went last time because we enjoyed the big seafood paltter with lobster tails, kiing crabs, and shrimp, but it was nearly as staisfying this time. First of all, we had to wait about 30 mins so Dorothy decided to get an apple martini... a drink she's had before. Well after a few mintues she is feeling great and extremely, how do you say, promiscuous. Well of course, me being the individual that I am, I am quite pleased with the effects of this particular martini (if it were only more than teasing....oh well). However, Dorothy starts to feel extremely out of it, nothing like she has ever felt before. She usually does not get drunk because she pees alot, but she also only drank one martini, so something is amis. Well, she starts to feel like she is drugged and just looks like she hasn't had sleep in days. So finally we get in touch with the bartender and he tells us that like the big oaf he is, he has a heavy hand and has really made the equivalent of 2 1/2 martinis. He says there is no drugs or anything in the martini so that's it. But the bitch manager basically accuses us of saying there are drugs in the martini and says that she doesnt feel the need to offer any compensation for this mix up.... first of all, if the bartender has a heavy hand, he should let his customers know what they're ordering ahead of time, and secondly, the manager should learn people skills, and to accomodate your customers. Anyway, no good came out of any of this and it was a complete waste of money. I'm never going back to the steamer again. Well, after teasing Dorothy about a surprise I had for her all week she finally wanted to see it. I suggested that after the night's cirumstances that we should wait until the next night but she wanted it then so I gave it to her... (that sounded dirty). At my aunt's house, there is a deck with a boat on a little bayou that goes to the gulf so I set up my surprise out there. I set up a bottle of wine and two wine glasses, a dozen roses, and a poem I wrote to her. Unfortunately, it was very chilly by the bayou and we couldn't stay out there long but Dorothy really enjoyed everything. So we left the night on a sweet ending and went to bed.
parts 2 and 3 coming soon.....

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
I think the most important idea of that Bible verse is the last line: "Love never fails." If one is loved or loves, than he/ she is not failing at anything. Why? Because they put forth the effort and care into the relationship to make things work. One of the most important parts of love is making things work. If things are not working, then it is truly not love. To love someone is to devote one's heart, mind, and soul to that other person, to fully cherish and behold that individual to the fullest extent. Once the individual fully grasps that concept, there is no turning back from whence he/she came. Love is forever.
I love you Dorothy, and may you let me always cherish you to the fullest extent.
Anyway, I've been up all night downloading songs and burning cd's of all the American Idol songs (at least 75) for driving entertainment to Ft. Walton Beach. I'm having a lot of problems getting ceratin songs to work... not really sure what's up with that. Anyway, maybe I can finish in the morning, who knows. I wish I didn't have class later on.... maybe I'll skip. Nah, I can't do that. Anyway, this is the last journal entry before the trip to the beach for spring break..... be sure to look for the recap!
Adios,

» Snoballs: Myths or Reality?
Let me tell you about Baton Rouge sno-balls. They are ok, but not great.... which of course is what you would expect for a New Orleans imitation. Anyway, there is a snoball stand open year-round on Perkins past Siegen lane (if coming from LSU of course). It is on the lefthand side of the street called Ray Jay's snoball heaven. There is also a snoball stand near the post office on Perkins, but that isn't open yet. If you want a better quality snoball, expect to travel a bit, as T's snoballs are on the corner of Harrell's Ferry and Millerville going I-12 east. If you go all the way to Jones Creek, there is a stand near the "Hi Neighbor!" grocery, but I'm not sure of the name. And if you really want to go out of your way, there is one on the corner of Antioch (?) and Tiger Bend near soccer fields.
Anyway, of course these are just imitations and the real snoballs are found in N.O. The best snoball you can find is Plum St. Snoballs uptown. They have the finest ice and best syrups around. Plus, they put the snoballs in a Chinese to-go carton pail instead of your mundane styrofoam cup. You will not be disappointed with these snoballs.
If you are ever in N.O. and want to go to Plum St., just give me a ring-a-ding on the cell and I'll show what a real snoball is about.
This information has been paid for by the United Snoball Extremists of Southern Louisiana.

» Fun in N.O.
Yeah, so today was a pretty good day.
I woke up early to run AED's "Loop the Lake" run benefitting Parker House. I had an extremely fast pace but it proved to be too tiring so I had to walk a little bit. Anyway, I still finished with a record time of 37;14, which is pretty good considering my previous times of about 38 min were just running. Most importantly, I had a lot of fun and I got a nice t-shirt. This week and next I will hopefully be able to increase my training for the CCC. Wish me luck.
After the race, Dorothy and I went down to N.O. for the day to see our friend Evan from Stanford. He is currently finishing up his spring break down here. He graduated when I was a sophomore at BM. He is a really crazy guy and has an extremely funny and interesting sense of humor. I also saw Hota-Pe and Caravella today. We ate some good Chinese food at Five Happiness, went bowling at Rock-and-Bowl, and then finished it off with a Plum St. Sno-ball of course. Today I got chocolate and condensed milk. It was very delicious, but a little too rich. Next time I will definately resume the bubble gum. After that, Dorothy and I went back to my house. We were laying in my room and we wound up falling asleep. We took a nap for over an hour. It felt really good to just take a nap because both of us definately did not get enough sleep this week. Plus it's always enjoyable when I get to sleep next to Dorothy. That's probably one of the best feelings I could ever have..... although having a blow... haha, just kidding. But seriously, that could have been the most enjoyable part of my day. We had some nice Mimi dinner (which of course I brought the left-overs back to BR) and then I had some "dessert" later that I think Dorothy also enjoyed too...... anyway, after that we had some chocolate cake where Dorothy discovered the notion of putting condensed milk on top of everything, which I think is disgusting. But hey, she likes it so that's all that matters. After some laughing and talking, we dorve back to BR and we watched One Hour Photo, definately an interesting movie to say the least.
Well, I am stil lreally tired, so I think I'm going to hit the sack.
This week will go by so slow..... mainly because I can't wait for spring break. Dorothy and I are going to visit my aunt in Ft. Walton Beach for a few days. Maybe she'll get some color on her skin, haha (just joking Casper, I mean sweetie ; )
Yeah, so that's all for right now. Good Night.

» Wow
Yeah, so I decided to bring back my Live Journal entries...... I've been on hiatus for a while now. Anyway, life is grand in the 'ol hundred acre woods.
So today was nothing special. I woke up extra early to finish my Spanish individual reading. We have to basically create our own lesson plan for the readings our teacher assigns us; meaning we need to pick out vocab, write a summary, ask questions, grammatical structures, etc. Frankly it's a big pain in the butt, but oh well I gotta do it. Yeah, so after that I went to my American History class with possibly the most boring and not funny teacher in the face of the earth (although I'm sure there are a few who can give him a run for his money). Yeah, we just took a test on Monday and I think I did ok on it. I didn't have enough time to discuss everything I wanted to on the esay, but that's what happens when you take a survey 50 min course like that. I think I'll probably get a B. But after history, I headed on over to Spanish and viewed some amazing paintings from Spanish artists. We do the craziest things in my Spanish class, but it's ok... at least it's interesting. We watch a lot of videos and soon we'll be discussing the various types of Hispanic music, which I will discuss Carribean music. That should be fun because I love Latin music. So, that's all that really happened with my classes today.
Now for the Daily Dorothy Digest:
After class, I met Dorothy in the parking lot at Ceba today and she was wearing the red blouse she got from Express that I enjoy so much. I really love that shirt because it accentuates her features in all the right places..... so yeah we drove off to go eat some lunch, but at an unknown location b/c she didn't want to tell me where we were going. We wound up at Koto on College, but we had to wait a little b/c it wasn't 11 yet. Unfortunately, Koto will be closing at the end of the month, so we only have a few more days to eat their food. They have a lunch buffet that tastes alot better than Great Wall, but not as much food. Anyway, after lunch we then went over to Ceba so Dorothy could take her BLAW test. After that she dropped me off at my apt. and she went off to work. At least I'll get to see her again tonight after her gig rehersal, b/c originally I was not going to because I'd have to entertain a friend from BM who is here for spring testing. Yeah, so tonight should be fun, Dorothy with Buccola. haha.
The End of the Daily Dorothy Digest.
Yeah, so Stephen Buccola just got here and I helped him with his bags and showed him around the apt. He's really excited about these next few days so they should be pretty interesting.
Anyway, I guess I better continue reading Schindler's List for Lit of the Holocaust.

» Yeah
So, this weekend was alright....
On Friday, Dorothy took me out for my birthday to eat at Kiva's Ristorante. It's a nice Italian restaurant where I had some bruccialuna...... I've never seen bruccialuna on any menu of any Italian restaurant so I had to get it. Mimi always made bruccialuna so that's the only time I ever ate it. Nevertheless, it was pretty good. Speaking of pretty good, Dorothy bought a new red dress to where when she took me out and boy was it nice. Her favorite color is red and if you would have seen her in the dress, you would have known why. Ah, yes, also that day I dropped off a letter of intent for a possible job at the LA capital to Rep. Gary Beard, a good friend of Dorothy and her family. After realing I am a poli sci major and I can get class credit for working at the capital, Rep. Beard said he would make sure that my letter came before the other letters, except for Dorothy's. So, I may have a good chance of becoming a page next year, however, I will have to find a place to stay for half of June...... But anyway, later that night Dorothy and I had a Disney movie experience, watching The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. OMG, Ariel is so hot, I just want to.... haha, just kidding.... I prefer Jasmine (haha). But yeah, those two movies are good, except in The Lion King dvd they put a new freaking song in the movie and it's really stupid, I hate it. I then drove Dorothy home and told her goodnight.
Saturday was busy. I woke up at 8:30, drove to New Orleans and absentee voted (first time I ever voted) for the gubernatorial election because I'll be in AL this weekend for the LSU game. Bubbly Jindal will prevail! Then I went over to Canal Place to exchange some clothes and had a black guy at Banana Republic hit on me. Isn't that great? I also saw a $1600 Armani suit at Sax Fifth Ave. but I didn't get it because I just got a new suit..... yeah right, like I can pay that kind of money for anything. I also ate lunch at Tujague's, which is a really neat place because they only serve you what they felt like cooking for the day. It's one of New Orleans' oldest restaurants, having opened in 1856. Later that night I hung out with Hota Pe, watching alot of college football and Spaceballs. I called the defeat of VT and FSU that night, ultimately making LSU have a higher ranking in the polls. Ultimately, LSU will become #2, because USC will lose this weekend, as will Ohio State (not this weekend, but another) and we will win the rest of our games, including the SEC championship against Florida. It was meant to be that LSU will go to the National Championship, so you just watch.
Sunday, was nice and relaxing. I woke up later than I have in a while (11:30), had some lunch, a few laughs, and some apple pie. I left for Baton Rouge at 5pm, headed over to Best Buy and bought Finding Nemo. I then surprised Dorothy when she got off of work at the mall that night, went over to her house for some of her grandmother's turkey and studied a little bit. After all that, I drove home and fell asleep.
Today was nice and relaxing, did some spanish and read some slave girl stories. I had to be a guinea pig for Musty Montgrave and blow my horn a little. I then read some more slave girl literature, picked up Dorothy after class and ate some dinner at my apartment. We happened to watch Britney Spears Behind the Music on Vh1 and saw 'ol golden girl Laura Lynn on tv talking about her cousin. I think when I see her at band tomorrow I'll let her know that I saw her on tv...... I think she'll appreciate that. Anyway, I then went over to the library to start research on my paper on Poe for English class. I found some good stuff, although some girl had already checked out a book I needed...... that slut! Just joking, she's not a slut. But yeah, then Dorothy got out of class early and we had some free ice cream thanks to Kim Webb and then had some fun in the apartment. After talking about our love, she left and now I'm here by myself. Alrighty, I think I'll go to bed early tonight, get a good 8 hours of sleep and wake up earlier and do some work.
See you guys on the flip side of the deuce....

» Yeah, an update
So I haven't updated in a while....
My birthday was a relaxing day.... wasn't very stressful, but not energetic too much either. I went to class, had lunch w/ Dorothy, then to syphillis winds, then went to the mall to try to exchange some items and buy a pair of loafers. Yeah, Dorothy's night class ended extrememly early, so she headed to my apartment for some fun. Monday was pretty good and I learned not to take things for granted.
Tuesday was not too exciting because I can't remember anything special from that day except the usual routine, so boo ya!
Wednesday was alright. Syph Winds sucks because we sound bad and people aren't doing anything to fix the problem. Had a discussion w/ Dorothy..... the Old Ross is here to stay. I went to Tigger Band and then went jogging w/ Neil. Had some nice conversation while running. Went to bed late, woke up early.
Today was a pretty ok day. Nothing bad happened and felt good about myself. I chose a topic for my English research paper, but after Poppy Kronick's lecture on Frederick Douglass, I may reconsider..... although I'll need to do it pronto. Tigger Band went the same ol same ol..... getting excited about the possiblity of LSU going to the sec championship. Came home from night calc class and John had cooked dinner so I was all set to eat and didn't have to do anything. I studied some spanish, talked to Dorothy (told her I love her), and saw a show on how freaking rich P. Diddy is. It makes me wriggle in agony knowing how much P. Diddy earns and how luxurious his life is. C'est la vie.
Anyway, I guess I should go since I'm waking up early to get a haircut. Adios, and expect another update sometime soon.
Oh, and btw, Dorothy is not an uncontrollable shopaholic...... she just likes to make herself feel good by shopping..... and she doesn't do it nearly as much anymore.
Yeah, I'm tired.... Disney Marathon tomorrow night..... Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid. Doesn't get any better than that!

» Birthday
SO yeah, today is my birthday! Happy Birthday to myself.....
Anyway, let me tell ya the run down over the weekend:
Halloween was cool, I dressed like a munchkin and Dorothy dressed like, well, Dorothy and we wore our costumes the entire day. Later that night we went to the Quarter and went on a Vampire Tour, had an overpriced long island, ate a creole pizza, and saw really outrageous costumes. Later that night we also took some pictures..... in our costumes of course.
Saturday was busy, went to IFF practice and that was hell. The Tiger Band performed halftime well despite the last minute repetitions at the IFF. The Tigers won 49-10, and they became ranked #4 on the ESPN poll since Miami and Georgia lost. We may have a great chance after all to get to the Sugar Bowl.
Today I celebrated my birthday with my fmaily and Dorothy at my house. Mimi cooked some great gumbo and awesome turducken. We also had chocolate ice cream and white chocolate and raspberry cake. I also received some awesome gifts. My aunts gave me a nice chunk of change, whereas Mimi, Pips, and Mom gave me very nice Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren clothes. And of course I can't forget what Lil Dorothy gave me..... she gave me an extrememly soft navy blue merino wool sweater from Brooks Brothers. Oh yeah, and Dorothy's family gave me a nice Ralph Lauren dress shirt. Yes, some very nice clothes, and I'm finally beginning to look like a white boy. Anywho, Dorothy is taking me out for my b-day on Friday, so hopefully it's somewhere nice.... haha, because I love dressing up. Yep, Dorothy is a sweet gal. That night we'll also have a Disney marathon since Paige gave me the new Lion King dvd. Good stuff.
Anyway, hopefully my b-day will be pleasant, but unfortunately I have to study for a freaking calc test for Tuesday. Yeah, that sucks. Anyway, wish me happy b-day, and that's all for now b/c I'm tired.

» Hola
Hello my friends
So here' s what is going on in my life
Yesterday was alright, didn't really do much except go to class and study. I met Dorothy for lunch like usual and then went to English class. Dr. Kronick finally made it back to class and he appeared slightly different.... he looked younger and what not, I think he may have gotten laid. Who knows. Then I went to Tigger Band and Linda isn't there so we have to make do with Roy and Mr. Wickes.... but I think we'll do fine. Later that night I went to study with Dorothy at the Waffle House and boy was that something! Waffle House was the craziest it's ever been, with all kinds of clanking plates and loud weird people. We didn't study as well as we hoped, but oh well.
Today was ok too, a little blah, but ok. I went to Spanish, then spent an hour in the foreign language lab and went to craponic winds to play a horrible version of Copland. Now, I know I'm not the greatest player in the world, but I know when a band sucks, and we my friends do not play that well at all. I am especially angry with principle chair Dustin because he can't play his part to save his life. I originally had the "solo" part for Copland, but they gave my part to Dustin and he can't play it that well. But, whatcha gonna do? Yeah, that's my venting for the day.
Yeah, I went to Tiger Band and then I went jogging around the lake with Joey and Neil. Definately felt good to run. I think I'm going to start running every Mon and Wed and hopefully on Sun too. I also found out that running the big lake is a little over 4 miles, so that's awesome. I'm striving to run the Crescent City Classic in April. Only time will tell, my friends, only time will tell.
I'm looking forward to Halloween and my birthday. It better be good. That's all for now.
Adios,
Ross

You are the highest level of Dope. You are probably black. Either that or an obsessed white boy. You should stop listening to rap before you start speaking in rhymes.

» After you back it up and stop, just drop drop and make ya schlitty wop!
Yeah, so here's some wonderful schlitty wop for everyone to enjoy:
Saturday was good and LSU killed Auburn, so that was all Skittles. The Auburn band disrespected our band and I did not appreciate that at all. Also, ESPN can suck my ass because they chose for the Tiger Band to not perform pre-game after the lightning delay because of commercialism. A letter will be sent to them.
After the game, I quickly packed and went to pick up Dorothy to travel to N.O. for my godchild's baptism on Sunday. We arrived in N.O. around 1:30 am were very sleepy. Fortunately, daylight savings time ended so we gained an hour of sleep. Sunday was a very busy day. I had a few relatives in town so the house was busy. My uncle's good friend Trevor and his wife Stephanie came in for the baptism and so did Auntie Dawn and baby Brent, all from Florida. After the pre-baptism mass, everyone arrived at the church for the baptism, and boy was it successful. Baby Isabella had a private baptism because the priest like Auntie Ronelle and Uncle Bob, plus we had at least 30 people there. Ronelle and Bob chose me to be their child's Godfather, which is a huge honor, because Ronelle is my Godmother. Hopefully I can show the same guidance and love that Ronelle has given to me all these years to Baby Isabella. Isabella is the cutest little baby I've seen. She's got the biggest blue eyes and is very smart, because she constantly looks at people. She's precious. Anyway, after the baptism, we all had a reception party thingy at Ronelle's and Bob's house. We had some good party food and stuffed ourselves with cake. That's where everyone finally saw that Auntie Dawn's kid, Baby Brent, has the biggest crush on Dorothy, much like I had on Uncle Ted's girlfriend 15 years ago. He cracks up laughing every time someone says "Dorothy" or she looks at him, it's cute. Anyway, I don't think he has a chance of hooking up with my girl..... at least not for another 18 years.
Yeah, today was basically a sucky day. Everything went fine for me until I went jogging around the lakes. I drove to the lakes and didn't bring my cell phone because I figured people wouldn't be able to talk to me while I was running anyway, so what's the use? Plus it needed to be charged. Well, for the first time I ran the lakes, it took me 44 minutes, which is not bad. I also took a walking break for a good 7 minutes. Anyway, when I got back to my car, I decided to get gas then and not wait until I was to pick up Dorothy after her class. Well, everything goes fine until I restart the car after I finish pumping gas: the car won't start! What kind of schlitty wop is that? Fortunately, I had AAA, so I was able to tow it to the shop, but I didn't have a cell phone. So there was no way for me to get in touch with people to let them know what was going on. Luckily I was still at the gas station and the girl who worked there let me use her cell phone to get in touch with some people. Fortunately, Ricardo was able to follow me to the car shop and bring me back to campus. Meanwhile, Dorothy listened to her messages I left her and she's freaking out because I didn't have my cell phone and was worried that something could have happened to me. Well, after a lot of vociferous dialogue, we finally ate at Ruby Tuesday's for dinner like we had planned. After that, I took a nap in Dorothy's car while she was in class because it was too cold and dark to walk back to my apartment. She got out of class early, and went back to my apartment to study a little. After a nice jovial visit from Darnell and Dorrell, the studying led to a full body massage, and we can guess what happened after that..... I love you Lil Miss Muffett.
Hopefully, my car will be fixed for a while and won't break on me for a long time to come. I think the rest of the week will be better and I'm looking forward to my birthday, which is less than a week away (Nov 3rd). Anyway, I'm tired, so adios.
Goodnight my friends,
Ross Eee! Poo

» Subquetious: A Way of Life, or Just an Adjective?
My friends, have you got a treat in store for you. Yes, you have a journal entry by the 'ol Ross E Pu himself, the creator of craziness, the doer of dandy things. You are about to read one of the most random journal entries I will probably ever make. But here it goes:
So, I woke up this morning, and what do I do, I take a shower. A few minutes before I'm scheduled to get out of bed, I hear John slip by in the bathroom hustling and bustling to make sure he gets out of there so I can have my turn in the bathroom. I like to maintain a schedule, and if I'm a minute off, then you're asking for it. Anywho, so I then have a nice pop-tart breakfast consisting of special limited edition Dr. Seuss pop-tarts that have the little fish on them..... you know, the ones at Islands of Adventure that say, "Your mother! you mother! your mother!" in the Dr. Seuss ride. Ah, the memories of those great fish. But speaking of great fish, how can we forget our good 'ol friend Felatio Fish, hopping his way out of the water every 5 seconds in Splash Mountain. Boy do I love that ride. Man, I could ride that thing all day long and I would never get sick of it..... I could ride..... ok nevermind. Anyway, back to my day. So, I go over to my Spanish class and have another amusing day w/ my teacher, Sr. Baena. He is straight out of Spain; he came over to the US a few years ago and incidentally, his visa is about to expire. Nevertheless, he doesn't always know the correct "English" word, so he says some really odd but amusing things. Yeah, foreign people are funny because they don't always say the correct things, but hey, that's life. (Note: if any foreign people read this, please do not be offended by my statements, thank you). Yeah, so while I'm talking about people who aren't from here, let me tell you something about a little driving experience. So I'm driving home from dropping off Dorothy after seeing Runaway Jury (which by the way was a very good movie, but more on that later) and this car pulls out in front of me, something that would normally happen on an everyday basis. Well, like most of the time, this person does not drive the speed limit when he/she/it pulls out in front of me, going a mere 25 mph. I say, "well, this is lovely," and then I realize that, lo and behold, the license plate says LOVELY. Isn't that great? I think it should say SHITTY. That would be even funnier. Go to hell, you LOVELY driver from Florida, go to hell. Ok, maybe that was a little harsh, but hey it's all fun and games.
Yeah, so today Dorothy finally got her ruby ring that gave her for her birthday. Yeah, she had a birthday, where have you been? Anywho, it looks very very nice on her finger and I'm sure glad I decided to get her a ring. Anywho, she went to the salon today for a haircut, and all I can say is thanks to gay guys because they really know how to make hair look good.... on a girl at least. Yeah, Dorothy's hair is now a darker shade of red, with a few more blonde highlights, which look really really good. So, I pick up Dorothy and she is wearing this v-neck blue top thingy that allows for major cleavage exposure..... don't even get me started on cleavage. Ok, for some miraculous reason, her breasts have definitely grown since we started dating. We've been going out for 8 months now, and they are a really nice size. I'm sorry if I sound a little too excited, but heck, wouldn't you be too if your girlfriend's breast just miraculously grew? It's like mankind's wish coming true. All men wish for this and for some reason, God decided to grant my wish. Anyway, she was also wearing some very nice form fitting black pants which accentuate her "grade a, premium choice meat" if you will, but that doesn't come as a surprise now does it? Everyone already knows she has a nice ass. Ok, enough on Dorothy's good looks for the time being because I could keep talking about this over and over, making me even more and more, a la "Austin Powers," switched on.
Yes, but underneath all that hotness is a caring and devoted girlfriend. I swear, I think Dorothy is one of the most intelligent people I've ever encountered. She knows how to read me like a book. She's just so great that she would do anything to make me happy and to see that my life is great. As much crap as she has to put up with me sometimes because of my (for lack of a better term) "un-Rossy Poo-ness," she still sees something great in me. Unfortunately, I haven't been my normal self this entire semester, and she has put up with it, being there every step of the way. I can tell you times haven't been the greatest, but she's still there. But, what I'm trying to get at, is that she knows why something is wrong with me even if I didn't even realize it! She is great and has helped me so much this week, it's unbelievable. She is like my self-help book, as silly as that sounds. She is my inspiration and everything that goes along with it. I could be more greatful, Dorothy.... I love you. But anyway, she's sleeping as I write this, so she's know what I think of her in the morning.
Yep, well it seems that my journal is coming to a close. Maybe it wasn't as random as I thought, but remember, I like Skittles. Oh, I hate the fact that I can't cook without my freaking fire alarm going off because the fan in the kitchen doesn't work because the stupid people installed it incorrectly and they haven't bothered to fix it yet. All I want is some freaking pancakes! Is that too much to ask? I want some Aunt Jemima goodness and the splendor of buttermilk. All I can say is gosh darn it. The David Duke Pecan Company..... what a weird store title.
Anyway, enough of my tittilating (I don't even remember how to spell the freaking word) journal entry. Good night.
P.S. - sorry if I have spelling errors, I don't care at this particular moment about how I spell. Also, my apologies for bad grammar..... I'm better than that.

» A Message to My Sweetheart on Her Birthday
Dear Dorothy,
Where do I begin? "I love you" is always a good place to start. Dorothy, ever since we first "hung out," I didn't want anything more than to keep spending time with you. At that moment, you were the most amazing and precious person I've ever encountered and wanted to expereince everything I could with you. Well, times haven't changed and they won't change, because you will always be the most special person in my heart. Everything I ever told you about how I feel is true; how someday I will marry you, how you will be the mother of three beautiful children, and how you are the perfect partner for me: YOU are my true soulmate. Words of love aren't enough to express the joyful sensation that overcomes my entire body when I am with you; actions don't even suffice. The only way I can even begin to express the way I love you is by sharing each moment of every day with you. You are truly amazing; your love and compassion for me makes me the luckiest man on earth, because I know no other person loves someone more than you love me. The most wonderful thing you do is the way you look into my eyes whenever I am with you.... that is the definition of love. Each day of my life I try to care for and love you even more than the previous day.... you may think it's not possible, but anything done with love is possible. Dorothy, as I conclude my short tribute to you, let me remind you of one thing: no matter what the circumstance or the event, our love will keep us strong, and we will survive anything. I love you with all my heart, my Lil' Angel, and God Bless You on your Birthday.
Love, Ross
